The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has announced an extension for filing the Income Tax Return (ITR) under Section 139(1) of the Income-tax Act, 1961 for the Assessment Year 2025–26.
✅ Revised Due Dates:
- ITR Filing: Extended from 31st October 2025 to 10th December 2025
- Tax Audit Report: Extended from 31st October 2025 to 10th November 2025
A formal notification to this effect will be issued separately by the CBDT.
